October 26, 2010) A series of bizarre dreams lead Kyla Spears to
suspect that violent incidents are in the
offing. Her suspicions are confirmed when
shocking incidents of drug-addled rage and
self-mutilation, which victimize young people in
Royal Oak, coincide with the images in her
dreams.
But Clay Bender, whose ability to see into the
spirit world has gone into abeyance, is
reluctant to help Kyla find answers, while
Murphy Soles struggles to continue supporting
his friends even though he does not share the
Christian faith they have embraced as a result
of the events in Powers and Principalities.
Meanwhile, a false preacher at a local
megachurch seems to be a key to the truth, while
a charming but troubled young man has Kyla struggling to
maintain her newfound spiritual integrity.
