Dan Calabrese is an author, columnist,
journalist and Bible study teacher who was born
and raised in Royal Oak, Michigan, which is the
setting for the books in the Royal Oak Series.
He attended Shrine Grade School and fell just
short of superstardom in the Royal Oak Baseball
Federation.
Dan's twice-weekly column for the Detroit News's
online Michigan View section appears on Tuesdays
and Fridays, while his contributions to the
View's blog appear daily. He is best described
as mostly conservative but just enough of an
independent thinker to constantly alienate the
people who are supposed to like him - which
pleases him to no end.
Since 1995, Dan has taught Adult Bible
Fellowship classes, and puts a particular
emphasis on the indwelling of the Holy Spirit
and the power it provides for Christians to live
their lives victoriously for God's glory.
Dan and his wife, Angie, have one son, Tony.
